This New Device Tells You If Your Skincare Is Actually Working

I tested L’Oréal’s new Cell BioPrint device and discovered that my skin is two years younger than my actual age

Between TikTok, your dermatologist, my articles here at Bazaar, and group chats with friends and family, there’s no shortage of skincare product recommendations out there. But you could try a dozen of the best skincare products and get completely different results than someone else because, truthfully, everyone’s skin is different. So, how do you know what works for your specific skin needs? L’Oréal just debuted a high-tech device at CES (the Consumer Electronic Show) in Las Vegas that goes beyond mere product suggestions and tells you which products are actually making a difference for you and the health of your skin in the short term and years to come.
“In the beauty industry today, a lot of what is looked at is on the surface of the skin, so a beauty advisor or an imaging tool would tell you if you have pores and wrinkles today, but it won’t tell you what to focus on for the next six months or even years ahead,” says Guive Balooch, global head of augmented beauty and open innovation at L’Oréal Groupe, tells Bazaar.
