Up until a couple of years ago, I never wore mascara. It’s always a pain to take off, it usually flakes and leaves dark circles under my eyes, and my lashes are so short and stubby that they’re barely noticeable no matter what I do to them. However, these days, you won’t catch me heading to an important event without swiping on a few layers of my new favorite eye product. Yes – it’s true, I’m a mascara covert – but that doesn’t mean I’m not picky about my formulas.
If I could have everything I want, I’d ask for a product that lengthens and makes my lashes look like falsies, curls, doesn’t clump, is easy to get off at the end of the night, and doesn’t leave any fallout under my eyes. But let’s be real – this is real life, not a fairytale, so my beloved favorites typically check three or more of those categories. My latest obsession? The brand new Benefit Bounce Mascara ($30).
